Felicia and Pete’s Wedding Day

Felicia and Pete met at their local church.  They had been dating for roughly a year when Pete invited Felicia back to the park where it all began – on their first date.  Pete, with wedding bells in mind, had put a lot of prep into this date to make it extra special.  Behind the scenes unbeknown to Felicia, Pete had written her a song.  He was not a singer but great with guitar.  Now as if this wasn’t sweet enough, he incorporated his proposal into the song as well.  With a serenade like that, Pete already had it all in the bag.

We must pause at this point and appreciate this truly special proposal and let our hearts in chorus go ohhhhhh!

After a six month engagement Felicia was walking down the aisle at Eden Gardens to meet her romantic Prince charming.  They had a beautiful summer wedding (as the name suggests) in a tranquil garden in the North of Sydney.  It was picturesque with the gorgeous sun lighting up their ceremony and the natural bird life sounding in the background.  Their wedding reception continued at the garden centre in their reception venue.

They wanted their wedding to be as natural as possible, being surrounded by beautiful gardens.  Floral, greenery and light were the key elements they were incorporating.  Their photos were shot in the beautiful gardens and nearby national park.

Felicia was wearing a gorgeous flowing white chiffon bridal gown.  With a contrast blue/grey taffeta sash gathered under her bust and cascading down her back.  The bodice featured delicate silver beads in an intricate design with chiffon straps.  She kept her accessories simple with a floral hair wreath and a significant silver cross around her neck.

Her four ‘girls of importance’ wore halter dresses with white bodices and blue floral skirts.  Again, tying in the nature and floral theme.

The men were stylishly dressed in navy pants and vests with white shirt and ties.   Very nicely accessorised with their brown dress shoes and belts.

“The whole wedding day was filled with special moments.  Some of the standouts however, were including my youth group girls coming to my house, providing breakfast and doing my hair and makeup.  Our first dance, the ceremony music, taking beautiful photos in the national park and the venue gardens, and most importantly the actual marriage all made the highlights reel.  It was a wonderful day filled with so much joy.  It was such a blessing to be able to celebrate it with family and friends – and my lovely husband!”
